We can aurora on our planet Earth because auroras are nothing but simple natural display of lights that occurs because of collision of energetic charged particles that try to get into the Earth’s atmosphere from high altitude atmosphere. However, many space experts have now found auroras occurring on the poles of planet Saturn and which are very much identical with the auroras that happen on Earth. Andy Ingersoll, Team Member of Cassini Imaging have confirmed that they have seen ultraviolet auroras on the poles of Saturn and which look very …

Do you know anything about the mystery of the Mars Moon Phobos Monolith? There are many things in universe that is still unexplained because there are no concrete answers or explanations to where it came from and how it got into the place where it is now. We have been circulating Mars for quite some time now but the mystery of Phobos monolith still remains because there are no answers on how it got there. Do you always think about whether the Earth pole will shift in 2012? Well, there are many science people who are asking this question. Various geologists and space experts believe and have taken geological samples that support the theory that there are high chances of Earth pole switching from north to south and vice versa. This can happen when the lava inside the Earth’s core comes up on the crust and then cools down. Since lava has magnetic properties it will definitely bring changes to Earth’s climate and soon the …

There is no doubt that the universe is a pretty big place and to measure it is almost impossible for anybody because you cannot really define and start and end points on it. If you try to move out from the Earth towards the universe you will find that there are multiple artificial satellites that revolve around our planet and it certainly takes them days and months together to make one full circle. Watch this video to get some ideas on how to measure the size of our big universe.…

This panoramic view, photographed from the International Space Station (ISS), looking past the docked space shuttle Atlantis’ cargo bay and part of the station including a solar array panel toward Earth, was taken on July 14 as the joint complex passed over the southern hemisphere. Aurora Australis or the Soutern Lights can be seen on Earth’s horizon and a number of stars are visible also.…

Saturn has always remained one of the most mysterious planets in our solar system. This is probably why space scientists and experts have done a lot of research work on it. However, the mystery hexagon on Saturn still remains a mystery that none of the space experts have been able to explain so far. In 2007, modern imaging technology revealed that Saturn is much more complicated and mysterious than imagined because it has a hexagon on its pole that has been there for more than 20 years now.…

What does Earth look like when viewed from Mars? At 13:00 GMT on 8 May 2003, the Mars Global Surveyor (MGS) Mars Orbiter Camera (MOC) had an opportunity to find out. In addition, a fortuitous alignment of Earth and Jupiter—the first planetary conjunction viewed from another planet—permitted the MOC to acquire an image of both of these bodies and their larger satellites. At the time, Mars and the orbiting camera were 139 million kilometers (86 million miles) from Earth and almost 1 billion kilometers (nearly 600 million miles) from …

A Full Moon rising such this amazing red moon can be a dramatic celestial sight, and Full Moons can have many names. For example, tonight’s Full Moon, the one nearest the autumnal equinox in the northern hemisphere, is popularly called the Harvest Moon. Recorded on a trip to the American southwest, this contribution to compelling images of moonrise is appropriately titled Saguaro Moon.…

A red moon, or also known as blood moon or sanguine moon, is the first full moon after the harvest moon, which is the full moon nearest the autumnal equinox. In the picture, the red moon over the ruin of an unknown ancient structure was photographed brilliantly. Why the moon looks bigger? When the moon is nearer the horizon, it appears bigger. Scientists believe it is an example of the Ponzo illusion. Enjoy the amazing red moon!
