Many artists have used pencils to create beautiful pieces of work – but only one creates stunning masterpieces on the tip of one. Microscopic artist Dalton Ghetti spends up to two-and-a half years painstakingly crafting each handmade piece on the graphite of a pencil. Mr Ghetti, who works as a carpenter, has been working with pencils for about 25 years and his stunning sculptures include Elvis, the entire alphabet, linking chains and even an entire church which is just 10mm tall.

For those who frequently go to the beach must know the fact that beach stones may at first seem free of imperfections. This has been resulted by years of continual tumbling and scouring by surf and sand have rounded off any rough edges. With a commitment of time, these almost invisible surface features can be used to entice even the largest boulder to a point of blissful equilibrium. This balanced heart-shaped stone has been spotted and photo snapped at Southern California (coordinate: 33.460039, -117.712664) on December 27, 2008 by Joe Orman.
