Cool Graffitiami for Kids

The Graffitiami is coming from the blending word of Graffiti and Kirigami. For those who do not know, Kiri is a variation of origami that includes cutting of the paper (from Japanese “kiru” = to cut, “kami” = paper). Typically, kirigami starts with a folded base, which is then cut; cuts are then opened and flattened to make the finished kirigami. Kirigami are usually symmetrical, such as snowflakes, pentagrams, or orchid blossoms.

Below are pictures of the Graffitiami art work by Eric. He said it was used as a part of a birthday gift for his younger brother, Ryan. So cool isn’t it? I want one too!

Another way to speak up your mind when you are at home or in your school is to use film posters. Of course, there are thousands of movie posters available all over the internet and even in stores, but there may be some posters that appeal to you because there is something in it that attracts you. It can be that you love action heroes and therefore you have a film poster of Bruce Willis or Jet Li with some action sequence in the background or some other posters where the heroes are flexing their muscles.

If you are crazy about movies then you can also get inspired by certain genres of movies. There are many creative people who look at movies with different perspective and therefore they are able to know more about their movies than any other local movie freak. There are many internet websites like IMDB where you can find some of the latest information about the movies that are about to release and also about the movies that have made it to the box office. You can even read about how the audience felt about a certain type of movie on such websites.

Southbank Centre’s wide-ranging programme, which consists of classical & world music, rock & pop, jazz, dance, literature and the visual arts – attracts the most diverse audience of any UK venue. One of the most popular place at Southbank Centre is Hayward Gallery. Currently on show at the Hayward Gallery in London is this bed curling round on itself by Cuban artists Los Carpinteros, part of an exhibition of work exploring interior design. Amazing eh? Street Fighter Zombies by Manuhell CgHub

Street Fighter is a popular series of fighting games, which is developed in Japan in 1987 by Takashi Nishiyama and Hiroshi Matsumoto. Each charater in Street Fighter has his or her own special moves, against one another. Because of its popularity, Street Fighter has been inspired by many graphic artists around the globe. These horror Street Fighter zombies are created by a popular concept artist from Sao Paulo, Brazil named Manuel Augusto Dischinger Moura (nickname “Manuhell”). His works from Manuhell Cghub are recently getting noticed from our scout and we proudly present you the awesomeness of his masterpiece. Scribbles on iPad by Yoshitoshi Abe

Recently, we have presented you sketches on iPad by Lawrence Yang. Now, let’s us see how a Japanese artist playing with the iPad. To begin with, Yoshitoshi Abe is a popular graphic artist, cartoonist and illustrator in Japan. His first gained reputation in his work on the avant-garde anime Serial Experiments Lain. He is also the creator of the doujinshi Haibane Renmei, which was then adapted into an anime. Recently, he got his first Apple iPad and really excited to try his drawing talents on the iPad. Following are his amazing demonstration on scribbling anime character (Ain) on iPad, taken from Gigazine Japan. The work was very fast (within 4 minutes) and the result was truly amazing.
